About CuraCode Academy
CuraCode Academy helps beginners and working professionals develop medical coding knowledge, applied practice, and clearer career direction.
CuraCode Academy is the education and training arm of the CuraCode brand. It exists because most people entering medical coding are taught code books instead of the work — how documentation is written, why specificity matters, what a coding team is actually accountable for, and how coding connects to billing and operations.
So the Academy was built around practice. Learners read realistic documentation, make coding decisions, explain their reasoning and get corrected. Alongside that, we support the parts of career readiness that usually get ignored: focused doubt-clearing for learners who need more time, computer and Office fundamentals, responsible use of AI tools, communication skills, resume writing and professional profile development.
We stay with a learner until the agreed learning plan is complete. What we do not do is promise placement, guarantee exam results, or claim credentials we do not award.

Healthcare training should feel professional, not promotional. We combine clear teaching, realistic practice, and honest guidance about certification and career pathways.
Healthcare depends on accurate documentation, ethical billing, and well-run operations. Skilled people in these roles protect patients, providers, and the integrity of health information. Thoughtful education is how more people enter that work with confidence.
Faculty
Every subject is taught by professionals who work in that area of healthcare.

Faculty for administration and operations programs
Healthcare administration, operations, documentation practice
Healthcare operations professionals
Operations and administration sessions focus on how healthcare work is coordinated: patient flow, records handling, documentation processes, service standards and professional communication across clinical and administrative teams. Sessions are discussion-led, with workplace scenarios used to practice decisions.

Faculty for billing and revenue cycle programs
Claims, reimbursement workflows, denial follow-up
Revenue cycle professionals
Billing and revenue cycle sessions are taught by professionals who work with claims and payer follow-up. Learners follow one encounter end to end — registration, charge capture, claim submission, payer response and follow-up — so the workflow is understood as a connected process rather than a set of isolated forms.

Coding faculty for ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS
ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, outpatient coding fundamentals
Industry practitioners
Coding sessions are led by working medical coding professionals. Teaching follows the same order used on the job: read the documentation, identify what is reportable, apply the guideline, then explain the reasoning behind the code selected. Every module ends with case practice and a review discussion so learners can defend their answers, not just recall them.
