A clear path from first question to focused preparation.
Each stage has a purpose. Move forward when you can explain the concept, apply it, and learn from your mistakes.
01
Discover
Choose a direction based on your background, experience, and career goal.
02
Learn
Build knowledge through structured lessons and clear learning milestones.
03
Practice
Apply concepts to realistic, fictional healthcare documentation scenarios.
04
Prepare
Use assessments and focused review to plan your next learning or certification step.
Sessions by working professionals
Every specialty codes differently. You hear it from someone who does it.
Coding teams are organised by specialty, and each one has its own documentation, code sets and traps. Alongside the core curriculum, guest sessions bring in professionals who work in that specialty day to day.
Specialty sessions build practical understanding. They are not a credential, and each certification body sets its own specialty exam rules.
CPTICD-10-CM
Evaluation & Management (E/M)
The visit-level work that almost every coder touches first. Sessions walk through how medical decision making and total time drive the level selected, and how to defend that level from the note alone.
Where this work happens
Physician offices, outpatient clinics, telehealth
Session lead
Led by a working professional-fee coder
What the session covers
Levelling by medical decision making versus total time
New versus established patient rules
Separately reportable services on the same day
Common reasons a visit level gets downgraded on audit
Learning designed around how coding decisions are made.
The Academy is the education and training arm of the CuraCode brand. Its role is to help learners build knowledge, practice, and direction.
01
Practical learning
Practice structured decisions using realistic healthcare scenarios—not definitions alone.
02
Industry-professional instruction
Sessions are led by people who do this work daily, so explanations come with real context.
03
Structured curriculum
Follow a visible path from terminology and guidelines to applied coding practice.
04
Case-based practice
Read documentation, identify relevant details, and explain the reasoning behind a choice.
05
Certification preparation
Build exam readiness while keeping training separate from independently awarded credentials.
06
Career direction
Understand role expectations, useful skills, and realistic next steps without employment promises.
Certification clarity
Preparing for your next certification?
Training can support preparation. The credential itself is awarded by an independent certification body—not by completing an Academy course.
What we promise, and what we don’t
We prepare you thoroughly — study structure, timed practice and rationale review. We never promise an exam result, a credential or a placement, because those are not ours to give.
Build the terminology, anatomy, code-set, and guideline foundation.
02
Practice
Apply concepts, review rationales, and identify recurring gaps.
03
Prepare
Follow an exam-focused revision plan with timed practice sets.
04
Certify independently
Register with the external certification body and meet its current rules.
Learning experience
More than recorded classes.
A useful learning experience combines explanation, practice, feedback, and direction. Availability varies by program and is labelled honestly below.
Every program
Structured modules
A clear sequence of topics, each closing with practice.
Live sessions
Instructor-led sessions
Live teaching and discussion with working professionals.
Every module
Practice cases
Fictional documentation used to practice real decisions.
Module-wise
Quizzes
Short checks that reveal the concepts to revisit.
Certification prep
Mock assessments
Timed review sets that build exam pacing.
Milestone-based
Progress tracking
Milestones that make the learning path visible.
Included
Doubt-clearing support
Separate sessions for learners who need more time.
Advisor-led
Career guidance
Resume, profile and interview readiness support.
How we train
Teach, practice, analyse, reinforce. Then test it again.
Nobody learns coding by watching. Your work is reviewed while the course is running, and what the review shows decides what happens next — extra sessions on a weak topic, another set of cases, or a timed mock.
1
Teach the guideline, not the answer
Each concept starts with the documentation and the guideline that governs it, so you learn why a code is correct rather than memorising a code list.
2
Practice on cases immediately
Every module ends with case practice. You code it, then explain your reasoning out loud and defend the code you selected.
3
Analyse the work, topic by topic
Faculty review your submissions and track accuracy per topic. Repeat errors are logged so patterns show up early instead of surfacing in the exam.
4
Extra classes on the weak topics
Where the analysis shows a gap, you get additional sessions and doubt-clearing on that specific topic instead of moving on with the batch.
5
Mock exams with answer analysis
Timed mocks under exam-like conditions, followed by a review of every wrong answer — guideline missed, detail skipped, or time management.
6
Career readiness alongside coding
Computer fundamentals, Excel and documents, responsible AI use, communication, resume writing and professional profile building run in parallel with the coding syllabus.
The loop repeats until the analysis says the topic has landed.
What gets reviewed
Accuracy by topic
Which code sets and guideline areas you are getting right, and which ones keep costing you marks.
Recurring error patterns
A running log of the mistakes that repeat, because those are the ones that show up again under exam pressure.
Case reasoning
Whether you can justify a code from the documentation, not just arrive at it.
Mock performance and pacing
Score trend across mocks, plus whether you are running out of time before the last questions.
Readiness beyond coding
Digital skills, communication, resume and professional profile checkpoints completed.
The plan adjusts to the learner, not the other way around. Progress depends on the work you put in, and outcomes still depend on your performance, qualifications, certification status and employer requirements.
Build the complete skill set to work with confidence.
Alongside coding, the programme covers progress analysis, extra classes and mock reviews, plus doubt support, workplace communication, computer and Excel skills, responsible AI use, resume writing and professional profile development.
The goal is professional readiness through clear learning checkpoints. Employment still depends on learner performance, qualifications, certification status, and employer requirements.
Progress Support
Progress analysis during the course
Your work is reviewed as you go, not only at the end. Faculty track accuracy topic by topic, keep a log of the errors that repeat, and use it to decide what you revise next.
Timed practice sets followed by a review of every wrong answer: whether it was a guideline you missed, a detail in the note you skipped, or a question you ran out of time on.
Each subject is taught by working professionals from coding, billing and healthcare operations teams, so lessons carry the context, shortcuts and cautions that only come from practice.
Four stages take a learner from healthcare context to applied coding decisions and a professional next step. Each stage has practice you can show an employer and reasoning you can defend in an interview.
